Thanks to Mailwatcher Stats, you can monitor company email traffic in realtime. This module will allow you as well to maintain detailed invoicing by entity (subsidiaries, divisions, services, groups) in relation to its precise use of resources linked to the mail system.

Mailwatcher Stats alerts you to all messages being sent and received. The routing statistics are simply collected with a minimum surcharge for the server. The database is used like a transporter; it controls planned agents which interpret and consolidate these statistics to reconstitute them, organised by views (by domain, by server, by user).
The standard Mailwatcher Stats module includes billing functionality—which is to say the ability to invoice the costs resulting from the use of the mail system. The data model must be capable of producing detailed statistics from the invoice to the nature of the account, to the line of credit, etc…
For other kinds of information, one must foresee a possible intersection between user data and an organisational reference frame. The data flow must be prioritized on an infrastructural level (elements such as the network, the users, the machines), and also in terms of bandwidth usage and various costs throughout the day (ex.: Blue Period, White, Red, weekend).
The different options are :
- Use of the Dashboard.
- The consolidation of information in a SQL database.
- A Java reporting tool provided with the product.
- The use of market-standard reporting tools.
- Export to other applications via XML files.
